Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital
The Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital (ADFH) is the world’s leading institution for avian medicine and research – treating and assessing more than 11,000 birds every year.
Established in 1999, it is a comprehensive animal care facility offering veterinary, training, boarding and grooming services. ADFH also manages the Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter, housing hundreds of pets each year.
The centre’s doors are open to visitors interested in experiencing the fascinating world of falcons and falconry. The hospital also oversees the essential conservation and research undertaken by the Sheikh Zayed Falcon Release Programme. The initiative rehabilitates wild falcons for release in habitats along their natural migratory routes in Central Asia. ADFH has been a recipient of over 40 awards including the prestigious Middle East Responsible Tourism Award and the World Tourism Award.
